my first UAAP game at Araneta

I already lost count on the times i said that i would watch UAAP game at Araneta. But hey, my long awaited dream (?) came true last July 26, 2007. I watched the ADMU VS DLSU game at Araneta!

For me, every Ateneo-La Salle game is a much-awaited event every season. Much more this year, it was the first admu-dlsu game after La Salle was suspended for a year because of illegitimacy in their player (or players? i'm not sure). Anyway, days before the game i already told some friends of mine that I would also like to watch the game since most of them were really up for it. But as you know, it's really HARD to get tickets to that game. Maybe two days before the event, most of my friends were still trying to buy tickets so i thought i couldn't watch the game. Plus, I have a long exam in His 166 at 3-4:30 pm! i actually thought that i could take the exam earlier at 130..but NO, my prof won't allow me. Before Theo class (12 nn), i have accepted that i won't be able to watch live at Araneta. But HEY, Bennett got new tickets so he let me bought one for myself and Mon Mon! I was so excited! Mon Mon and I even bought Ateneo shirts during breaktime just for the game. and most of all, i think my greatest sacrifice was cutting Philo (my ever beloved Philo) just for the game! haha

Mon Mon and I have no idea how to get to where Charmie and the rest of the gang were. We didn't even know what gate to use (in Araneta). Luckily, we used the right gate, the right stairs, right passage, to reach a place where our friends can see us.

We arrived at Araneta during 2nd quarter of the game. i think La Salle was leading when we arrived but Ateneo suddenly caught up with La Salle! Haha I believe i was their lucky charm. :)


The game was really intense..REALLY INTENSE. I had so much fun cheering for the team, shouting, clapping and just watching how the blue eagles crash those archers. My legs, feet and hands almost gave up but i was really determined to cheer for the team.

Then, there was the overtime! There were really tension in the Araneta. You can see people starting to pray and even cheer louder than ever. Our great players Chris and Jai were really the ones who caught my attention. They were really great and they did everything for our team to win. I am really proud of our players,. I am really proud of our school. Just like what I told everyone, it was worth cutting Philo. :)
